Exactlly. J/K

No, but he plays good defense for the college level and plays with intensity on the defensive end.

or the offensive player Sabonis was

Not even close, but a combination of the two, just not as good as either. It's hard to make a realistic comparison, because noone plays that way in the NBA today.

Yes they are--but TH can hit the medium range Jumper consistently, will not be double and triple teamed in the Pros, Plays excellent D for a man his size and has a motor comparable to none. It's ALL opinions so lets wait and see.

Won't translate to the NBA and I don't know if it's excellent right now

Damn, I didn't know there were NBA scouts on here. Guess we'll have to wait and see.My opinion is worth as much as yours--nothing--so the draft and the aftermath will tell. TH is terrible and will never make it in the pros but AR will. Wow!

Maybe May is comparable, I think TH has a better offensive game than May, but that ain't saying much as far as NBA standards go. Madsen has had to change his game since college and he's not that great. Haslem is way better than TH.

quote:

Plays excellent D

Plays good D, and good D in college is not good D in the Pros.

quote:

can hit the medium range Jumper consistently
So could Adam Morrison and we see what a star he is.

quote:

has a motor comparable to none

right now: TH > AR
potential: AR > TH

I remember a guy named Tyrus Thomas who thought he was ready for the NBA. Boy, he is burning it up now, isn't he! Guess it is just too hard to turn down the money. Especially when you have never had it before.

I'd like to point out that he just put up 24 points against the Celts, and he is playing behind a pretty good PF right now.

Either way, do you actually think he would have improved more by staying another year? Because John Brady was known so much for developing players on the offensive end of the court huh?

scored a game high 24 points against the #1 Celtics two days ago. He's a defensive presence and is very athletic with a lot of upside. He'd be a starter if it weren't for L. Dang. Jeez, whatch a game before saying stupid crap.

ETA: beat me to it Edge.

re: Anthony Randolph enters draft, hires agent
You have a point, ETA. Brady definitely wasn't going to hone Thomas' skills. I usually check the box scores from the games but I missed his 24 against Big Baby and the Celtics. I guess you might as well be making big bucks while improving your game instead of sticking with Big John. As for Suntiger, I am not as stupid as you think I am, but then, if everyone was as smart as you we would all be genuises.

Not to mention he doesn't really fit in the Bulls offense that well. A lot of times they don't see to take advantage of how athletic he is on the offensive end.

re: Anthony Randolph enters draft, hires agent
I'd say to him thanks for coming, and sorry you wont be here to enjoy the turnaround in LSU bball.

But when will the NBA and MLB institute the same rule as the NFL- and make kids wait 2-3 years out of high school to enter the draft?

Baseball is different I guess in that you have the minor leagues. But what NBA owner can be comfortable putting a multi-million dollar contract in the hands of an 18 year old?

And selfishly for me, this is killing college basketball.

re: Anthony Randolph enters draft, hires agent
I talked to the guy who reported this and he told me that Randolph came to LSU b/c the coaches told him that he'd have the opportunity to go to the NBA after one season. The coaches should not be shocked that he's going. That is their recruiting tool.

As I've said before in this thread. If you can't thank a kid for his time and wish him well go frick yourself off somewhere else.

re: Anthony Randolph enters draft, hires agent

so you're saying a college S/C program is better than a professional one?

You might know alot about football SFP but not about this, yes LSU's S/C program is and will be better than the team he gets drafted by, mostly due to time and travel. In College you play two games a week most of the time within one day of being back on campus. In the pros from the time the season gets started (October-preseason) until it ends(as late as June) there is constant travel. Including preseason the Pros will play 100 games in the time a college team play 40. That leaves four months to shape your body in between seasons, I have only seen one player in recent history gain a noticible amount of muscle between seasons and that is Kobe and we all know his desire to succeed is larger than Randolph's. So I am going to have to say the is on you.
