re: Falcons Fans Crying About Officiating
I saw two bad calls go in our favor--one happened to be for pick-6 (illegal contact--ball was still in the air), and the other was a pretty bad hold.

on the other hand, White's 69-yard TD was about as clear an O-PI and hold as I've ever seen, that reviewed and reversed catch on the sideline was out of bounds (he didn't actually drag the left foot after gaining possession), there was a ton of holding, and Thomas clearly regained possession on his fumble before the scrum started (plus some bad late whistles--one resulting in a fumble).

I'd say it was pretty close, impact-wise, so STFU Falcons fans.

Get used to it, because it's going to happen every week. Everyone want to be the team to knock off the Saints. When they don't, they resort to (1)complaining about the refs, (2) saying they aren't impressed with Brees, the defense, etc. Psychologically, it gives them some peace "knowing" it wasn't that the Saints were just the better team. I'm not a psychologist, but I play one on the internet.

What game were they watching? I saw Charles Grant get taken down one time that looked like a damn good tackle.

Payton was asked about the non-call on the 68yd White catch... he said, I'm not gonna say anything. I've been fined enough.

Hilarious. Only "bad" call was Vilma probably should have been hit for DPI on the pick 6, though in quick speed it was probably close. It was mentioned that the hold everyone talks about going our way was the right call, but it wasn't on Bush, it was on Henderson.

As far as the calls (and no-calls) that went ATLs way instead...there's not enough room in this post. We should have only had 2 turnovers, and recovered the onside kick, to name a few differences. Oh, and they should have had a good 300 yards in holding penalties on the guy "blocking"(choking) Smith.

on the play where Ryan threw the ball after Will Smith almost stripped him, that looked like a hold on the ATL offensive lineman.

when I watched the catch devery made on the 2 or 3 yard line, it looked like he may have pushed off.

vilma, could have been called on the pick six for a penalty

Roddy White very clearly pushed off on Greer for his td.

Both teams had calls and non calls

One turnover, Drew's fumble was as much a helmet on helmet personal foul as Vilma's on Eli in the Giants game.

Reminds me of the old Jim Finks classic..."I'm not allowed to comment on bad officiating."
