A) Buddy would have made his stand in support of Coach Taylor, not wait til now and meekly undermine his beloved Panthers AFTER his friend Coach Taylor has been pushed out. At the very least they should have devoted 5 minutes to Buddy agonizing over his failure to defend Coach Taylor as a lame way of explaining his betrayal of the Panthers.

Love buddy's character. I don't see Buddy supporting the Lions out in public. But obviously he feels some guilt over what happened to Coach Taylor (telling him about Luke). Plus, he's been pushed to the side by Joe McCoy and Wade Aikman. We know the Lions are getting new uni's (you can see them in the show open), and I wouldn't be surprised if Buddy quietly put up the money.
