Trent Richardson Says it's Easy To Be Lazy In NFL Compared To Bama
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Former Alabama RB Trent Richardson has had a tough time adjusting to the NFL after leaving the well-oiled machine of the Crimson Tide. During his rookie season he managed 950 yards and 11 touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns. Then in 2013 he averaged 2.9 yards per carry with the Indianapolis Colts. There he was also reportedly fined 14 times by the Colts for being overweight before he was released after the 2014 season. Richardson told Matt Zenitz of AL.com...
quote:

"It's very easy to get lazy in the NFL --?? not having everything scheduled and not having everything like at Alabama where it was so structured," "We had study hall or we had to get a workout in in between classes and had five classes a day. It was just so structured. In the NFL, everything's on your own."
He's expected to join the Baltimore Ravens...
quote:

"Hands down, this is the happiest I've been since I was at Alabama," "What's different now is that I got rid of all the people that were around me, got rid of all the issues and worrying and the people keeping my mindset off the right thing to where I'm just back grinding and just trying to work every day to get better."

Don't know why folks are dogging him. He is telling the truth. $aban is a sob who will replace anyone at any time and his players know it. He gets the most out of these players and when he is not around (In the NFL) their performance drops. Its why so many of his players go on to fall short of expectations in the league. The opposite is true of Miles' players. They go on to NFL and exceed expectations. This is neither a slight or a compliment to either coach. merely the way it that it is.

It's because these teams who pay you millions expect you to make adult decisions on your own and not have to hold your hand along the way.

It's not Trent's fault being in the "process" makes Alabama backs look way better than they actually are. Henry will be a huge bust.
