On NFL Countdown Sunday, Cris Carter didn’t hold back when talking about child abuse as it pertains to Adrian Peterson's situation. It fired him up emotionally and he let it out...

YStar, check out this link: LINK . Every statistic about crime rates shows that they have falling. I'm not giving an opinion. It is a fact that crime rates are dropping, despite the rise in population. Again, this is a FACT.

BTW, no one is defending child abuse or taking discipline too far. I will repeat that point once again so all you bleeding vags don't even try to use that as your strawman point.

slackhouse, you confuse better technology and living standards with better humanity. If you can't see humanity is worse, crime is higher, behavioral issues are worse, etc then you are both blind and dumb.

The fact that you said the second point was retard only proves how retarded you truly are. Only an absolute retard (you) would think it doesn't make sense to check someones credibility when they want to get on the soap box about an issue. Chris Carter has ZERO credibility when it comes to parenting, so he should be one of the last people attempting to give anybody advice about that.

Instead of whining about how others raise their children, he should focus on the children he has that he has failed.

I don't hate Chris Carter, I dislike stupidity and that is what both he and you have shown with the nonsense you have spewed. The fact that you accused me of something you just did isn't lost on me either.

Pavoloco83,

that's how it started. Then AP apparently lost control and abused his child. His son had marks from the bottom of his leg all the way up his back. He had abrasions to his scrotum. Adrian Peterson went way beyond "spanking" and hurt his child.

YStar, your first point is way off base. Today's world is better than it ever has been. There is less of every evil and every wrong today than at any other point in history. The fact that we have twitter, facebook, and instagram to tell you that everything is bad doesn't change the facts.

Statistically speaking, the 21st century is a much better world than any century before it. And despite negative news reports, it is actually continuing to get better.

I'll ignore your 2nd point as it is retarded.

Your third part is extremely off base. It is abundantly clear that Cris Carter was admitting to the world that his mom physically abused him past the point of discipline. And, he called his own mother out for that being wrong. He made a pretty good distinction there that you just missed, presumably because you hate Cris Carter.

I havent followed this closely, but my understanding is that AP picked a switch and spanked the kid? If thats right, my grandparents woulda served time.

1). He says it's the 21st century like life and behavior is becoming better now. The facts are things haven't, they've gotten worse. There are more criminals, more violent adolescents, more behavior problems now then before. Saying it's the 21st century without noting things have gotten worse is disingenuous. Maybe if we kept better structure things wouldn't progressively get worse... think about that Chris.

2). Chris Carter's son is a great example of his flawed parenting. He did such a great job sparing the rod, that his son struggled in every college he went to not being able to even graduate. He couldn't tell his son what to do (advise him), so how in the hell could any head coach? That didn't stop Chris from making it the head coaches jobs at OSU, Alabama, etc to teach his son what he couldn't... discipline and structure.

When the coaches failed to do so, instead of correcting his son, he blamed the coaches and institutions, enabling his son to continue that behavior.

This is the guy questioning parental tactics?

3). There is a difference in spanking to discipline a child and beating a child or going to far in discipline. One is right the other is very wrong.

They are not the same thing. Not even close.
