Georgia Tech kicker Harrison Butker saved he and his fellow teammates from running sprints at the end of Thursday's practice. After hitting four in a row, his fifth field goal attempt from over 50 yards out sealed the deal. The team's reaction was awesome...

VoxDawg, I wouldn't feel too bad for them. They get to play football, which is fun. And they get to attend Tech, which is great. And most of them have a scholarship to attend Tech, which is greater.

Sheesh, relax folks. GT football is a joke, and it was merely a jab at the fact that they ritualistically get embarrassed by UGA that weekend. Nothing more, nothing less.

@VoxDawg

I don't usually do this... but downvote. If I could I would down vote you like 10 times.

With that comment I can tell you have never played a down past high school (hell probably past middle school?), because anybody who has knows the joy those guys are feeling when you just escaped end of practice circuits or sprints.

That's great. Good way to practice kicking under pressure and help build team spirit.

I don't know that I'd be celebrating, if I were them. Come the last Saturday in November, they're going to wish they had the extra conditioning.
