McCarron Says Media Made Saban/Texas Story

Alabama QB McCarron knew Saban wasn't going anywhere and while sitting on the Direct TV bus for ESPN, he blamed the media for creating the Nick Saban to Texas story...
quote:

"AJ McCarron on Directv bus on @SportsCenter now saying "You guys – the media – made (Saban to Texas) a story when it wasn't really a story."

— Keri Potts (@MsPotts_ESPN) December 14, 2013"
You believe him?

He's just a kid defending he's coach. No big deal, here. I doubt he has access to what really goes on behind the scenes between Nick Saban and his agent.

Either there was genuine interest, or this was a power play. FIN

Jimmy Sexton made Saban the story at Texas....His only mistake was he should have upped his Cut.

Well someone needs to let Texas know it was a made up story, because they sure cleared Mack Brown's arse outta there real quick!

Well all I know is the story has been in he media for weeks and I'm sure Saban was aware of it. If it truly was a non issue, he should have said so and everyone could have moved on!!!

If it was just a media made story why the bama give Saban a new contact with a 40% increase in salary in a year when he team got beat by Auburn and didn't win the SEC nor make it to the National Championship game? If it was just a media made story them all you can say is douche bag $aban took advantage of the situation and the idiots at bama and profited nicely off a "media made" story.

I don't worry about Saban.Mack Brown was the one that got screwed by the media and Texas alumni. It was almost a force out to resign.

I think AJ really believes what he's saying. But given his history, $aban's word is worthless. And it's a known fact that he bought a house in Austin, so a reasonable person would think it was possible that he was headed to UT.

Mack Brown wasn't going to resign either, and we know how that turned out.
