Ed Orgeron Resigns After USC Hires Sarkisian

According to ESPN's Brett Murphy, USC interim head coach Ed Orgeron was not too pleased with the school's hiring of Washington coach Steve Sarkisian, so instead of accepting a raise and the assistant head coaching position, he resigned.

Since USC 's firing of Lane Kiffin in September, Orgeron had led the team to a 6-2 finish. I'm sure he'll end up with a head coaching job somewhere, but did he deserve the USC job?

Maybe Coach O has learned something along the way. Maybe he doesn't just totally suck like he did at Ole Miss.

I'd be pissed too.
I've always liked Orgeron, even when he was at Ole Miss. Dude just bring a fire. Shit, he restarted USC after Kiffin made the program comatose.

Pat Haden saying Orgeron would have had the job if he beat UCLA he would have gotten the job was a cheap shot to Ed too when Sark didn't even beat them this year.
