If you already didn't think he was off to the NFL, this will confirm any doubts. South Carolina will honor junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney at their annual Senior Day, head coach Steve Spurrier announced. Clowney looks to be saving himself for the NFL, with an average season so far, having only registered two sacks and 33 tackles. You think they should honor Clowney on Senior Day? Or do real Seniors deserve the spotlight?

This happens a lot, but I'm sure if any publicity is gained from this it will be controversy.

He won't be the only Jr out there probably, Spurrier has usually done this. Think Quarles & Hampton also may be honored on senior day.

If he would have put forth the effort and played even near his abilities this year, I would be for it. But after the way he laid down this year, Im not feeling it. He had a great two years which their fans owe him respect for, but it says something about character to lie down on our team like that.

Senior day is for players that have committed themselves to the university and their football team for four/five years. Clowney committed himself to the NFL after two and gave up his third. I do not agree with this but to each his own.
