I think it's still a bit early to talk about Eli Manning and the Hall of Fame, BUT on Arizona Sports 620 in Phoenix with Burns and Gambo former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner said that he doesn’t believe Giants quarterback Eli Manning is a Hall of Fame player despite the fact that he just won his second Super Bowl in four years. Warner said...
quote:

“I fully disagree with that,” Warner said with regards to Eli being a Hall of Famer. “You know because I know we put a lot of weight on championships, and rightfully so. But championships are won as a team, and I’m fully convinced of that. You never see one guy — a great player, great quarterback — carry a team through the playoffs and into a Super Bowl and win a Super Bowl that way. I’ve never seen it. You know even in that game [Super Bowl XLVI], it’s 21-17. That’s the game. There wasn’t a quarterback just up and down the field carrying the team.

“Yeah, he made the plays down the stretch, no question about it,” added Warner, who spent the 2004 season with Eli in New York. “He’s had two great playoff runs, or his team has had two great playoff runs. But I also look at the rest of his career. I mean, he has an 82 . . . quarterback rating throughout his career. You know, he’s had five of his eight seasons where he has thrown 16 interceptions or more. His completion percentage on his career is 58 percent. To me, those aren’t Hall of Fame numbers and by that I mean every time you step on the field you’re a game changer, you’re a difference maker. And I don’t believe Eli Manning has been that guy until this year. I think this year is the first time in his career when he’s become that guy.”
He does go on in the interview to say that Eli would deserve to be in the Hall of Fame if he can continue to play consistently great football for the next five seasons. But the question that really needs answering is - is Warner Hall of Fame worthy? Maybe that would cheer up ole Kurt.

Kurt has been a prick of late.
Telling Tebow to calm down when all Tebow does is be himself. He doesn't force his beliefs on anyone, but at the same time he isn't shy about what he represents. He is who he is and doesn't need to change for Kurt Warner.

Now he is hating on Eli.. a guy who has beaten Brady twice in the superbowl (Warner picked the Pats both times I am sure of it).. and was MVP of both games.

i respect Kurt Warner for what he accomplished and have always held him a class above the other guys by the way he always carried himself...but this is not "a class act" to call a guy who won two Super Bowls as unworthy of the HOF...what's the problem Kurt? if you say "sure, he is a great QB and a two-time SB champion..." then you are a gracious guy. if you sully Eli's name and say "no, he is unworthy" then you're a prick who appears jealous...who cares if the guy is a future HOF'er or not? How does Eli affect YOUR legacy of one day getting in? quit being an a-hole and learn how to play nice even if you don't think the guy is worthy or not....we have enough retired, has-been assholes running around out there as it. like that prick Montana...shooting holes in the "Rudy Legend"...like why do that guy? now you're just bein an a-hole
