The New York Times is saying Louisville may get picked over West Virginia to join the Big 12. The Times cited a source who said...

"it’s “50-50 right now between West Virginia and Louisville” and “too close to call.”
Apparently some “legal entanglements” were the only thing stopping the West Virginia transaction from taking place right now.

If by 'legal entanglements' you mean UL offered to take less than a full share for 5 years or the next TV deal, then you are dead on.
