Mizzou SEC Move Is A Money Maker

Missouri curators reviewed a 45-page document that reveals a Missouri move to the SEC could generate as much as $12 million more in TV revenue.
quote:

"It suggests Missouri could get $17.16 million in Big 12 TV money in 2012, compared to $19.25 million from an SEC deal. It also envisions a far bigger share -- up to $12 million more -- should the SEC renegotiate its top-tier TV rights."

Mizzou has no business in the SEC. They're too far north, they have no southern heritage of which to speak, save for some mistakenly perceived association with Quantrill's Raiders.

UK has long been a member of the SEC and is our basketball representative to the world. Arky felt odd at first, but it's gotten to be a decent fit since we usually play them in Death Valley for home games, or in Little Rock for their "home" games against us.

Mizzou? Nah, I don't think the state of Missouri is far enough south. Lexington, Kentucky and the northern border of Fayette and Woodruff Counties in Kentucky marks the border of the northern frontier for the SEC. That's our Mason-Dixon line.

Not a whole lot more out of the question than UK or Ark. geographically.

Whatever. It's an awful move. 70 years of SEC tradition is going to go down the toilet if they let Missouri in. You can work A&M in the SEC schedules, but not Missouri. I can't name 5 Missouri players ever.
