Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt was arrested one day after appearing in court for a previous traffic arrest. This time Britt was charged with resisting arrest after being suspected by two plainclothes for carrying a marijuana cigar. The officers were behind the the wide receiver in line at a car wash, could smell the oder coming from his cigar and attempted to handcuff him, Britt refused to cooperate. Britt was released on his own recognizance, according to police, and has a June 16 court date.

Britt is coming off a great year, even though he had an injury. Sad to say, but this lockout needs to end just to keep some of these players out of trouble.

Britt is the dumbest player on the Titans. This is from sources within the organization. His first few months in Nashville, a Titans official was with him pretty much at all times to stop him from going to the bad parts of town.

People in his hometown (and mine) are fed up with him. General thought is that he got a break when he was speeding on the Highway behind ny house. Kids cross that highway going to the mall so the cops watch it closely. Now this crap in Hoboken. People think it's a swelled head of a jock mentality. His father is a strict disciplnarian at the High School who must be pissed.

I think the lockout gets these guys out of a routine. And some of these dudes need a routine. And I'm sure those routines keep players out of car washes smokin' blunts...in front of cops.

"Williams said police believe a man who was with Britt may have disposed of the cigar in the scuffle as police wrestled Britt to the floor and handcuffed him; the other man has not been charged."

the NFL needs a zero tolerance policy for this trash...

it's making the league look silly. I'm all for making a one time mistake, but smoking a joint in your car IN PUBLIC then resisting arrest?

Ray Lewis said crime would go up if the lockout kept going.

Always nice to be threatened by a man implicated in a murder investigation.

This case will be dropped. No weed was found and smell is impossible to prove in court. It just looks bad but that is about it.
