Freshman quarterback Brandon Harris will make his first career start for LSU, which has won three straight in the series and handed Auburn its only loss of the 2013 regular season. Auburn begins a season-defining stretch that includes five ranked teams in six weeks. Complete Preview

Why Auburn wins big: It’s not as much that I think Auburn is that good -- the offense still isn’t quite in sync. It’s more that I don’t trust LSU freshman quarterback Brandon Harris. The talent is there, but he’s making his first start in what will be a raucous atmosphere on the Plains. And this isn’t last year’s Auburn defense. The front four will make life difficult for Harris and the LSU offense. Auburn 31, LSU 14 -- Greg Ostendorf

Why LSU keeps it close: Clearly none of us has been too impressed with LSU's defense, but Auburn's defense has yet to contend with a passing game like the one it will see on Saturday. Though just a true freshman, Harris has "an NFL arm," according to none other than Gus Malzahn. Expect lots of drama on the Plains. Auburn will prevail in front of the home crowd, but this one could come down to which team has the ball last. Auburn 34, LSU 30 -- Jeff Barlis
Kickoff is set for 6pm CST on ESPN.

We CAN win this if Harris and receivers have a top-notch game and if our defense doesn't have to play most of the game..(and zero turnovers)....I don't count on it, but that's the story....

Well Vernonbrew22, I can't argue with the lack of respect that my Tigers are gatting but I can take comfort knowing that they will be getting better every week and their peak will be awesome. BTW, we could have survived those early departures if only one of the 2 DTs from last year would have realized that they needed to stay and have a decent money year. With both the Tigers would be contenders. Still though, we are LSU and AU will have their hand full.

Young talent keeps it interesting for a while but experience and a home crowd takes it toll on them eventually......Auburn 31 LSU 21

It will be ugly early for LSU. The only two games they played should have prepared you. Now, a road game will amplify the misery that we know is there. Don't blame Les, he's trying to save face by starting Mr. 18 yo man. No team can take the early defection hit like LSU and expect better results, except, grrrrrrrowl, Bama. Auburn knocks us out early and often 45-24. Count on it

Yupp. And if we lock Robinson or White on Williams, they become one-dimensional. MY BODY IS READY!
