Here is ESPN's take on the LSU-Mississippi State game this Saturday and predictions from 7 different from ESPN SEC Analyst:
quote:

Why LSU wins: LSU has won 14 in a row in this series, but that won’t matter on Saturday. The Tigers will beat Mississippi State again on Saturday because they are the better team -- and it doesn’t hurt that they’re playing at night at Tiger Stadium, a scenario in which they’re 43-3 under Les Miles. LSU 28, Mississippi State 14 -- David Ching

Why Mississippi State wins: How good is LSU? I watched the first half against Wisconsin and was less than impressed. I still don’t trust Anthony Jennings at quarterback. Meanwhile, Mississippi State comes in with a little bit of a chip on its shoulder, having not won in Death Valley since 1991, and Dak Prescott, a Louisiana native, gave the LSU defense fits in last year’s game. Mississippi State 24, LSU 21 -- Greg Ostendorf

Who wins?

Edward Aschoff: LSU
Jeff Barlis: Mississippi State
David Ching: LSU
Sam Khan Jr.: LSU
Chris Low: LSU
Greg Ostendorf: Mississippi State
Alex Scarborough: Mississippi State

Chips on shoulders will have nothing to do with the outcome of this game....Heck, over half the teams LSU plays has a similar "chip". So I think we will do well handling the "chip". If we play mistake-free football, we will eventually win by a lot. Miss St. will be pumped up for sure and give us a run, but the best team should win it, and that will be the tigers...

High C I literally told my wife the same thing before I read your post....Aschoff and Low pick LSU because they actually intelligently watch LSU.

@lsutothetop - I mean he was asked the question "Why I think MSU wins?". He had to give some kind of logic behind the answer. What would you prefer him say, "Because!"?

All this Miss State hype is doing wonders for intelligent gamblers avoiding the hype! Im going to let the public drive this line all the way down to LSU -9 then place my bet on the Tigers. I haven't seen a single reason for all this upset talk, no results support it in the Dan Mullen era. I believe the experts are playing into the mainstream hype just so they can make easy money betting on LSU and Im with them.

Glad he saw all he needed to see in the first half of the first game, in which we wound up winning.

"I watched the worst half of football LSU has played that so far appears to be the outlier for their season, and I'm also going to pretend that I watched last year's game. I think State wins this game." - Greg Ostendorf

Looks like the people who actually cover the SEC are picking LSU.
