According to AL.com, ESPN's College Gameday location for October 4th will either be Oxford, MS for the Alabama-Ole Miss game and or Auburn, AL for the LSU-Auburn game:
quote:

Lee Fitting, ESPN's producer for the wildly popular college football preview show, said the choices have been narrowed down to Auburn, where the Tigers will host LSU, and Ole Miss, where the Rebels will host Alabama.

Ole Miss has never hosted College GameDay. Auburn last hosted the show before the 2013 Iron Bowl.

"I think we're in a good spot for Oxford," Fitting said in an interview on The Paul Finebaum Show. "But I don't want to make any guarantees and I don't want anyone to take me out of context."

If our game were in Death Valley, this would be a no-brainer.

A burning barn / Raion Hill highlights just don't spread very far.

Everyone seems to forget that ESPN is a business and its all about the profit. They will choose whichever game will gain the best ratings.

ESPN will always choose bama to help give them even more exposure.

Would Corso put on a Colonel Reb head or the Black Bear head? Either way, I see ESPN jumping at the chance to give Saban some more wall-to-wall coverage. Greg McElroy is loosening his jaw as we speak.

Let 'em go to Oxford. No reason to get the Plainsmen even more hyped up for the game.

LSU/Auburn games are traditionally exciting TV. Ole Miss/Bama? Not so much.

Ole Miss will fold like Ole Miss and Bama will win that game by 3 TDs.
