LSU Expects Big Jump From DE Danielle Hunter

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports
Per The Fairfield Citizen:
quote:

After LSU Junior defensive end Danielle Hunter studied tape of his play from last season, he noticed that about 80 percent of the time he was the last man off the ball after it was snapped.

This summer, Hunter decided to start trusting his instincts more and stop over thinking what he was doing. By using his speed and power this fall camp, teammates and coaches have definitely seen a change in his play.
quote:

Everybody has their growing pains, but I think he's matured a lot," senior offensive tackle Evan Washington said of Hunter. "He's taking coaching, trying new things and we've seen a whole new Danielle this fall camp.

Sounds good but if he is too anxious to get a fast start off the snap, he may be prone to being drawn offsides...

This guy is going to wreak havoc in the backfield, which will only make things easier for the young DTs.
