During SEC Media Days, LSU coach Les Miles talked about freshman running back Leonard Fournette and compared him to NBA legend Michael Jordan. Here was the question:
quote:

How is Leonard Fournette doing as a person and as a player since he has gotten on campus. And no matter what going forward, how he pans out, do you still intend to do the running back thing by committee?
Here is what Les had to say:
quote:

Leonard Fournette is doing exactly what he should be doing. He's getting in the weight room, running and being in great shape. He's pursing the classroom, has good grades. He's quiet, he's not assuming, he's humble in his approach. I think that is exactly where he needs to be. I think he expects himself to be something very special.

I think if you look at Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan could not have been coached to be Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan accepted the role of expecting him to be better than any. I think he has a quiet confidence there that will benefit him and I think we will always have an opportunity to play at that spot, the running backs, that are fresh. I think thats an advantage. If you look at Terrence Magee, we gotten him tired, there have been time where he just busted a big run, or took significant contact, and Kenny Hilliard has just played, and that in fact we will need those guys that have fresh legs and I think that you can always count on that from us.
