Gautier Police Department spokesman Jerry Cooksey said Wednesday that Golson was picked up at 4:50 a.m. Sunday morning on Chestwood Drive.

"The officer was in the midst of a call and he encountered Golson," Cooksey said. "(The officer) attempted to identify him, but he didn't have any identification on him and he wouldn't give information."

Golson was taken to the Adult Detention Center in Pascagoula, where he was later released on $1,000 bond through AD Bonding.
Last season Golson registered 41 tackles, two interceptions and three pass breakups. He is set to appear in court on July 28th.
