Nick Saban: Not much needs to be said about Saban, who rightfully earns the title of the highest-paid coach in college thanks to his 79-15 record over the past seven years with the Crimson Tide. He has four national titles to his name, and although he had a rocky first year in Tuscaloosa and a few questionable losses, he's turned Alabama into an NFL factory that has been to BCS games five of the last six seasons.
quote:

Steve Spurrier: The Ol' Ball Coach is good for one-liners like nobody else in the game, and that tends to overshadow how he's positioned his Gamecocks into SEC East title contenders year in and year out. He had a legendary run at Florida back in the day, and no matter where he's at has proven he can adapt his offense to suit his players. Despite approaching 70 years old, he's still one of the best in the game.
quote:

Kevin Sumlin: Remember when folks thought Texas A&M was going to be steamrolled when they joined the SEC? Sumlin had other plans. He elevated Houston when he was in charge and nearly got the Cougars into a BCS game in 2011. He's produced some phenomenal offensive numbers and bringing along Johnny Manziel -- on and off the field -- is an accomplishment in its own right. Sumlin is one of the savviest coaches around and has the Aggies primed to compete in the tough SEC West for years to come. If the former linebacker can figure out how to coach defense like he does his offense, he'll shoot up even further this list.

He has the right people in place now where he can sit on the sidelines and eat grass and finish in the top 10 year in and year out.-Ringeaux-

Isn't that what good coaches do? Surround themselves with good players and coaches. It's laughable that LSU has the second most wins in CF the last 10 years, yet Miles is not even considered a top 15 coach.

No Gary Pinkel.. guy does good with lesser talent and puts players in the NFL. Imagine what he'd do at a power school.

Les is no great ball coach.....recruiter yes....but no great brainchild when it comes to X and O's. He has the right people in place now where he can sit on the sidelines and eat grass and finish in the top 10 year in and year out.

I'm an unapologetic LSU homer but c'mon...no Les Miles? Ridiculous to leave that guy out of the top 10.
