Former LSU and current Miami Dolphins rookie wide receiver Jarvis Landry received high praise from both coaches and players after a team scrimmage on Thursday. Per MiamiDolphins.com:
quote:Head Coach Joe Philbin had this to say about Landry's performance:
Playing for the Aqua team, Landry led all receivers with five catches for 67 yards, including a 21-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill.
“Jarvis, he’s ahead of the game,”?said fellow wide receiver Mike Wallace. “He plays like a three-, four-year vet already. He’s really smart and crafty. He’s going to be good for us.”
quote:
He's displayed good instinct and good natural football playing ability. He has good play speed, he gets out there, he's pretty decisive when he's there.
At this stage of his career, not surprisingly he may not be doing everything quite by the book exactly how you would like it to be done.
But what he does, he does fast and so if you're decisive, at least the quarterback is not going to get tricked. He's a guy that catches the ball so he's quarterback friendly in that regard.
