Former LSU ace Aaron Nola is a finalist for the National Pitcher of the Year award. Blake Fox of Rice and Brendan McCurry of Oklahoma State are also finalist for the award, which is sponsorsed by Diamond.

The award will be presented on June 28th at the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in Lubbock, Texas. Per Nola.com:

"Each of these players was instrumental in his team's regular-season and postseason success," Raymond Richardson, Pitcher of the Year Award co-chair, said in a news release. "They maintained their impressive numbers throughout the season, and they're going to make it difficult to choose a winner."

Nola was voted the SEC Pitcher of the Year for the second year in 2014 after going 11-1 with a 1.47 ERA and 134 strikeouts. Philadelphia picked Nola with the 7th overall pick of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft earlier this month.

Congrats Nola. So when is TD going to put up something new? This has been up here for a while now.

Nola has worked so hard all season, and he is most deserving of this honor! I’m looking forward to following him in the major leagues.
