LSU Basketball coach Johnny Jones announced on Tuesday that Shane Hammink, Anthony Hickey, and Malik Morgan will not return to the team for the 2014-15 season. Coach Jones had this to say per LSUSports.net:

“These three players will not be a part of the LSU program next season,” said Coach Jones. “We thank them for the contributions they made to the LSU Basketball team and certainly wish them well in their future plans.”
Hammink, a 6-7, sophomore Forward from Millingen aan de Rijn, Netherlands played in 21 games this past season and a total of 47 games in his two years at LSU. He averaged 1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds for his LSU career.

Hickey, a 5-11, junior Guard from Hopkinsville, Kentucky has started 85 of 96 career games over three years, with averages of 9.4 points and 3.3 rebounds over that time span.

Morgan, a 6-4, sophomore Guard, River Ridge, Louisiana played in 52 games with 20 starts and averaged 4.9 points and 3.0 rebounds. He suffered a knee injury after the Feb. 8th game vs. Auburn which required surgery.

Time to let Quarterman take over. Hickey had poor judgement at times even with all of the games he played.
