The Mississippi State football program confirmed on Monday that wide receiver Jeremey Chappelle would not be returning to the team for a second season. Per The Clarion-Ledger,
quote:

Chappelle burst onto the scene in the 2013 Maroon/White game, when he grabbed eight passes for 114 yards, but it never translated to the field during the regular season. He caught four passes for 45 yards in his lone season in Starkville.

Chappelle said the move was his decision. Quite simply, he wants more playing time.
Chappelle transferred from Junior College in Tyler, Texas, last year.
