In the most recent "Letter from Joe Alleva" the LSU athletic director stressed to SEC commissioner Mike Slive the importance of night games in Tiger Stadium.
quote:

It’s important for you to know that during the SEC future football scheduling process and development of the SEC Network, I initiated conversations with SEC Commissioner Mike Slive, who in turn worked with CBS and ESPN, to discuss LSU’s long-standing tradition of playing home football games in Tiger Stadium at night.

Through these conversations there has developed an understanding that CBS, ESPN and all its platforms will recognize the importance of LSU home night games in their scheduling process with assurances that every effort will be made to maximize the number of LSU home games at night. For example, CBS has agreed to limit the number of games played in their afternoon window. And I can assure you that the SEC Network will enhance LSU’s tradition of playing games at night in Tiger Stadium.

as much as I like night games, day games actually work a whole lot better when you are traveling to attend...

I do agree with knuckle about the length of games though...I get impatient as heck sitting there doing nothing for ten minutes at a time...

While he's at it he needs to intiate discussions on eliminating CBS turning a 3 hour game into 4 hours with thier bullshite stop-play commercials, and the existence of Vern on the airwaves.
