Update:Jone was released from the hospital on Wednesday April 23rd.

Former LSU linebacker Tahj Jones, who suffered a gunshot wound in Sulphur, La on April 12th, may be able to leave the hospital this week as his health continues to improve.

According to Nola.com, Jones' adoptive father, Mark Swinney, doctors told him Jones could posibly be released "Wednesday or Thursday".
quote:

"He's doing great," Swinney said Monday. "He's still got a feeding tube in his stomach that goes through his side but I think they're getting ready to take it out. They're going to start him on a regular diet starting this afternoon and may release him Wednesday or Thursday. He's bouncing like Superman. The doctors and nurses don't understand it.

"He'll get to go home, if he can keep his food down. He had some clear liquids, jello and broth. I think he's OK. I think I'll sleep better when I know he's home (Sulphur)."

This is great news for Jones.
