LSU junior infielder Connor Hale was named the SEC Player of the Week. Here is what the SECDigitalNetwork.com had to say:

• Hale hit .583 (7-for-12) in the Tigers’ games last week with one double, one homer, two RBI, eight runs scored and a .643 on-base percentage … in LSU’s SEC series victory at No. 10 Ole Miss, Hale hit .625 (5-for-8) with one double, one homer, one RBI, five runs scored and a .667 on-base percentage … in the Tigers’ Game 1 win over the Rebels on Thursday, Hale went 3-for-5 at the plate with a double and three runs scored – he doubled with one out in the top of the 13th inning in a 3-3 game and later scored the eventual winning run in a 4-3 victory … the double was LSU’s only extra-base hit of the contest.
• In LSU’s Game 3 win on Saturday, Hale was 2-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored.

Would have been nice to see the POTW on Friday night . Maybe he needed a break from being on fire the night before .
