Tennessee’s opener against Utah State moved to Sunday night

Tennessee announced that the 2014 season opener against the Utah State Aggies which was originally scheduled for Saturday August 30th has now been moved to Sunday, August 31st.
Here is what coach Butch Jones had to say:

quote:For those that dont know what Boomsday is, it is touted as the largest Labor Day fireworks show in the nation.
“This will be a unique and exciting weekend for our city and our state,” said Tennessee head football coach Butch Jones in a statement. “With Boomsday on Saturday and our season opener on Sunday, the atmosphere and energy in Knoxville will be unrivaled. We’re also excited about being one of the schools featured on the first weekend of SEC Network football telecasts, and we are looking forward to this tremendous opportunity.”
Sunday's game will be featured on the SEC Network.
