Harvey-Clemons was dismissed from the football team on Tuesday for a violation of team rules. The team announced the news in a two-sentence press release by the school, with no other details.

The Valdosta native was already facing a three-game suspension to start this season, which was a continuation of a suspension that began with the Gator Bowl, for his second violation of UGA's student-athlete drug policy.

Harvey-Clemons started 11 games for the Bulldogs as a sophomore this past season, playing both the strong safety and nickel back positions.

I will say this positive thing about Richt...he doesn't tolerate BS from his players. No "10 strike rule" like many other schools. However, it does seem to hurt them in the long run when he holds his teams to higher disciplinary standards compared to the rest of the conference.
