LSU sophmore guard Malik Morgan will miss the rest of the season after sufferering a knee injury during LSU 87-80 win over Auburn on Saturday. Per Nola.com

After the game two separate sources said the injury appears to be a torn patellar tendon and surgery will be required. Rehabilitation from that sort of injury is 6-12 months.

LSU coach Johnny Jones was waiting a second evaluation of the injury before divulging details, but he was grim when asked about it.

"He's not doing very good, unfortunately," Jones said. "They're going to have to reevaluate him and take another look. It's his knee. I think it got out from under him. We'll talk with the doctors here a little bit farther and kind of see where he is, but it doesn't look good."
Morgan is from John Curtis High School in River Ridge, LA and went into Saturday averaging 4.6 points and 3.1 rebounds in 15.5 minutes a game.

Hate that for him. He has improved this year and can only get better, looking forward to seeing him back in November.
