Alabama Lands Former Georgia Signee Ty Flournoy-Smith

Alabama landed the nation's top junior college tight end prospect according to the 247Composite rankings in Ty Flournoy-Smith. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound TE played for Georgia back in 2012, but off-the-field problems led to his dismissal from the program. Per

Flournoy-Smith played at Georgia as a true freshman in 2012, appearing in 8 games for the Bulldogs before leaving school after multiple off-field incidents, including an arrest in February for filing a false report of a crime after cashing in text books he had reported as stolen, and later an incident involving the use of marijuana in a dorm room in May.

As a sophomore at Georgia Military College in 2013, Flournoy-Smith caught 6 passes for 134 yards and 5 touchdowns while serving as a key blocker for a rushing attack that compiled nearly 3,500 yards and 43 touchdowns.
