The NFL has fined New Orleans Saints safety Rafael Bush $21,000 for his hit on Seattle wide receiver Percy Harvin during last Saturday's NFC divisional playoff game. The play, which the NFL considers, a hit on a defenseless player occurred in the first quarter and forced Harvin to leave the game to be tested for a concussion. Harvin later returned to the game, but had to leave again after a tough fall on an incomplete pass. Here's what Bush has to say on Twitter Friday afternoon:
quote:

rafael bush @rbush36
"Anybody know me knows I play fast and physical but it’s all good y’all have a blessed day"
What do you think about the hit?

Equilavent of a guy making $100k a year being fined $3800 based on his salary. That is very high but he did get him directly on the head

There is no way in hell that Ronnie Lott would make the Hall of Fame in today's NFL.

Thats a lot of cheese. Wasn't intentional, but clearly against the rules the way it played out. 21k seems excessive however.
