re: LSU on Solid Ground With N. Caldwell...But, Must Recruit

I think this article was spot on, but did Matt Harris or Rabalais do anything similar on Coach Jones and the men's team? I must have missed it. I'd sure like to read it. ...

re: Johnny Jones Quote on Hickey re: Leadership
Posted by ToneyTiger on 4/1 at 4:09 pm
Hickey can't be the leader if he's in the doghouse every season. Each year of Jones' tenure he has been disciplined one way or another. That's all Quarterman starting at the beginning of the season was about. You saw his play...There's no way Quarterman should have been starting. ...

re: Some LSU Basketball perspective for our program's direction

I'll preface my comments with I didn't agree with hiring Coach Jones. I wasn't sold that he was a good enough coach. Good enough recruiter, yes, but coach no. But I am rooting for him. What I thought would happen under Coach Jones is he would get good enough players, win a lot of games, but stil...

I think he is still a legit D1 recruit, but he will have to play his way back up the rankings. Scotlandville is at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest in Duncanville, Texas later this month. That should be a great opportunity to make a splash for him. Julius Randle (ESPN #3), Jarrell Martin and Madison Pre...

JOB to the NBA is not that far of a stretch. He is the most talented guy on the roster and if he gets touches in the paint he should have a break out year. If JOB he has an All SEC type season I think the NBA will actually be an option for him next summer. ...

I envision Martin as a SF, but he could very well be a a "stretch" PF because of his ball handling and shooting ability, but he's also a good rebounder. In addition, Martin has length (6'8" at least) and is athletic. He's the biggest talent out of BR since the Brandon Bass/Glen Davis/Tasmin Mitchell...

I always thought the Arizona talk was his "dream" school. If Bridgewater were a legit 6'6" he would still be a top 50 recruit. I think he's that talented. I still think he will find a high major program somewhere. My guess is that he will sign late somewhere (like Tyrus Thomas) and have a solid care...

Late to the thread, but I think Courtney is a guy who will benefit greatly from the coaching change.
