re: Is it time to raise taxes??
Posted by Geaux-2-L-O-Miss on 12/24 at 4:38 pm
I've been waiting on this thread. A couple of weeks ago I saw a report about the cost of gas falling and how it would negatively affect the economy. No link but was probably ABC as that is the news we typically watch. My first thought was are you serious? In my opinion the fall in gas prices will h...

re: Jury awards fired Catholic school teacher $1.9 million

Article said that her contract would not be renewed for the following year. This implies that she signed a year to year contract. I would argue that a year to year contract makes no promise of future employment. Should be thrown out on appeal and why is she getting awarded medical fees? Did the ...

Robin Hood are you all in?
Posted by Geaux-2-L-O-Miss on 12/22 at 11:43 pm
I don't post on this board much but there seems to be a big push for the Robinhood app. Does it not seem strange that some are on a waiting list of 400,000 + but you all of a sudden signed up and have three free invites to pass along. In one of the many threads, Broke summed it up about you putt...

Easy answer, when "you" actually feel old. That is a different age/number for everyone. I don't recover as fast as I used to so I've slowed down but I still feel young (compared to others my age)....

I'm not sure you can get from point B to point A in that price range. There are several watches to choose from under $500 that fit the bill but if you are looking for something real nice $1500+ is your range. If she is just a gf go under $500; if she is really special then go big. As Epic C posted n...

Spinoff of the 15000 march in Germany

Seems most of the comments are about the Islamist not assimilating into German or European culture and society. Can the same not be said about our guests from South of the boarder? America was/maybe still is the great melting pot. A melting pot being a place where different things come togeth...

It looks great and I would love to have a similar set up, but the wife doesn't see it that way. Having said that, I guess I'll be "that" guy. As another posted asked - no vent hood or ceiling vents? You said how tall the ceiling was and we see the two windows, but smoke is still going to come d...
I think its unfair to exclude people because they are black.
Guys get excluded every year from different fraternities based upon the fact they don't fit in regardless of race. When I was at LSU we cut hundreds of white guys and one black guy. As I said in a previous post he wa...
It seems odd to me that after almost 100 years, Kappa Sigma at LSU has not found a reasonable number of black people to allow to join it's club. Why not? What's the problem? What is it that I am missing?
My second response to this same post. Do you actually think that black pe...

This is to Traffic Circle jerk. I haven't been on campus in awhile but back in my day Alpha Phi Alpha had the house across from Fiji and behind Lam Chops on Old Row. I'm sure LSU made them pay millions of dollars for that house while all the "white boys" paid a buck. How many white Q Dogs, KA¥ o...

I've never hunted with dogs but camps around us do. Seems to me they spend more time hunting the dogs than deer. Dogs don't know the property lines. My favorite story is when a group came to our camp looking for dogs and started loading them up. Then the guys that owned about half of the dogs they w...

I was not questioning your strength as we would all have issue with lifting a 185 lb deer. This isn't the OT were everybody lifts 350, dates 9.8's and kills 160# on the reg. I typically have rope to lift and field dress and back the four wheeler under. You did what you needed and it's a good deer....

I doubt she will actually conceal carry but have in the car. I'm thinking CCW size so she feels more comfortable with it. Granted what ever I get her she will have to goto the range and get comfortable with the weapon but a smaller size would fit her better. Just looking for what to start her with ...

If you only have 40 acres it's not likely you are going to see much bigger come across unless you are surrounded by 1000's of acres that manage with a min spread/pt count. My dad mounted my first 8 point and it only had a 14 inch inside. He had never killed one that big which seems small now when ...

This is the OT and it is Thanksgiving. I give my people the day off as I think they should have time with their family as most of us true OTers do. Why would any of us wait in a line to buy mediocre products at a some what reduced price when we typically purchase top end equipment and merchandise. W...

While it was awesome to see him truck the guy. It was a wide open field, juke him out of his shoes would have been better IMHO. Glad he got the number one play of the day but I think the hole in one that spun back from off the green was a better overall play for the day. Let the hate start I've ...
