re: What "simple" dish do you struggle with?
Posted by eleventy on 7/22 at 1:44 pm
I think chicken is tricky. Took a while to get it right, and now I won't even use a different pan to fry it. I can't do jambalaya. I am a compulsive stirrer. Can't do pancakes. First ones are heavy, next ones are burned. ...

Was gonna say -- and it was 50% off. Domino's. We did the same deal tonight. Expectations need to be realistic in this scenario. Ours were fine, btw. No spit, either. ...

Oh yes. Your friend is a tad misinformed. Maybe some of the "adventurous" sane women just don't put it all out there in discussions of sex. It is also not always true that women tell each other everything. ...

re: How to clean a comforter that's too big for washing machine?
Posted by eleventy on 7/10 at 8:12 am
Keans used to have sales a couple of times a year particularly for comforters. Much more reasonable. Also, laundering at a cleaner is often cheaper than dry cleaning. Just make sure your comforter doesn't require dry cleaning. I usually just take mine to the laundromat. ...

I made a ton of them back in the late 80s/early 90s. It was generally a good time, hanging out in someone's room at the house doing them. Would not have considered outsourcing party cups, tho I would often have my roommate draw something as I am disabled with regard to drawing. Still have some of th...

Stay FAR away from HiHo. Randazzo's is very good. Cafe Phoenicia and Geisha are good. There is a Deangelo's which is -- a Deangelo's. If you are up toward Watson, Firehouse BBQ is far from fancy, but good brisket. I got very sick the last time I ate at Don's so cannot recommend. You can do fine in D...

My husband likes the one at Beausoliel. However, he makes his favorite here at the house, too. I think that may be because it is relatively simple, few ingredients, and you can make it to your own liking within those parameters. He always has a list of requests when ordering one, as well -- water no...
