min spread rule is a bitch.
A lot of the WMAs in Arkansas have gone to an either/or rule for spread/beam length. In the more fertile regions it's 15" spread OR 18" beam length. In the piney woods it's 12" spread OR 15" beam. So far it seems to be working well. Any antler restri...

I love my Tikka T3 Lite in .300 WSM for hunting. With that said , it isn't a fun rifle to shoot at the range. The light weight paired with a .300 magnum has a significant recoil. I'm by no means trying to steer you away, just trying to give you more information to weigh....
I thought shorter arrows needed more help with FOC.
All things equal, a longer arrow will have a lower FOC. Longer arrows also have a weaker spine, therefore forcing you to shoot (for example) a .300 spine rather than a .340 spine (to achieve a proper tune). This adds to the ov...
what is FOC
The measurement of the balance point of a finished arrow relative to the actual center of the arrow. A higher FOC (more forward balance point) will give more stable flight in a crosswind and better penetration. [link=(http://archeryreport.com/2010/09/arrow-foc-basics...

I shoot Slick Trick Magnums in 125 grain. If you are a 28 inch draw or less 100 grain heads are fine. If you are a 29+ inch draw you will benefit from shooting 125 grain heads. The extra 25 grains helps the FOC of longer arrows....
