1) Why is it so popular? 2) Do they ever explicitly say that Sheldon has Asperger's?
1. It uses lots of pop culture references while making fun of those that are not mainstream. Also, it's easily accessible humor that isn't too edgy, meta, controversial, offensive, or origina...

re: Senator Jeff Sessions is my hero for today

Welfare is not the only entitlement. Also, they have a competitive advantage when seeking jobs because they can work for less than minimum wage and employers need not pay for health insurance for them, undercutting the compensation required for citizens. This is creating an artificial demand for ill...

re: How long was your shortest stint at a former job?
Posted by kingbob on 9/11 at 10:08 pm
3 weeks. I was fired from a college internship after a very important client falsely accused me of stealing from them. The company I was interning with thought it would be much less risky to terminate their $12/hr intern then to upset a client and risk losing a $100 million project. That was a s...

re: Why Does Obama Call Them ISIL?

Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is what the media calls them. The media continues to use this acronym since that's what they called them initially and that's what the public knows them as. Think tanks and former CIA and ex military call them Islamic State of Iraq and Al Shahms (ISIS). Al...

re: Who is Bill Cassidy?

He's a Baton Rouge doctor who was spurred into politics by the husband of a former patient, the President of Cajun Constructors, Layne Grigsby. Mr. Grigsby was upset that his state rep didn't support some random issue that Grigsby wanted, so he convinced Cassidy to run and bankrolled him to victory...

re: Why do the majority of you think Bama is on the decline?
Posted by kingbob on 9/10 at 4:03 pm
I think it has to do with the fact that Alabama's offense doesn't seem quite as potent or deep this year and their defense has fewer star players than in the past. They also face stiff competition in their division while rival Tennessee appears to be on the climb (still not great, but better than t...
