re: Alabama and Tennessee: Better Basketball Job?
BUT I do think that UF is now accustomed to success, and would put forth the money and effort to stay relevant more so than most other schools in the SEC.
That may well be true. Certainly agree that they would put forth more effort than a lot of the SEC. My only hesitation w...

Yeah, there's always a lot of decent points back in forth in arguing why certain programs are better but, in the end, there's just not much difference in the SEC schools after Kentucky. The only people who are wrong are the one's saying all the better (or maybe all of them period) SEC jobs aren...

I would think they're about even right now since Tennessee has the edge in recent support and facility but Alabama may have the better AD situation. However, when threads come up discussing the differences in almost all SEC jobs aside from Kentucky, the thing that strikes me reading all th...
Barnes was given 17 years. He made one Final Four.
I can see Texas parting ways but I wonder if they have a clear target already in view that would be a clear upgrade. One can just as easily say Barnes overachieved in recruiting as that he underachieved in the tourney ...

I'd say Slovakia having the best start of anyone considering their 15 points include 3 against Spain already in pocket. Also: 1 Israel 2 Wales 3 Cyprus 4 Belgium 5 Bosnia looks a bit odd even if they've only played 3-4 matches. ...

That's fair. Kind of what I was getting at in my post. After Kentucky there's just not any advantages or disadvantages significant enough to where attracting a good coach doesn't mainly come down to paycheck and how comfortable he is with the AD support. ...

Tennessee has excellent basketball support and I'd certainly agree that it is a bit better job than Alabama. However, what the numerous "rank the program threads" here make clear above all else is that there's really not that much difference in any of the programs after Kentucky. It mainly...

Crean wouldn't be my first choice but I don't think it would be a bad hire either since the program under Grant has usually only been about one player away from the level that would be enough for most fans: getting a NCAA bid most seasons and being excited about a legit Top25 team every few seaso...
