Part of the psych eval is asking if they have thoughts of hurting themselves or hurting others. Then if they have a plan. If their plan involves using a gun, then and only then is when it is appropriate for a doctor to ask if the patient has guns. ...

I'd honestly take my AR but for several factors. I have more experience and familiarity with that platform than any other, I have more ammo and mags for it, it's lighter and easier to run with. This is just for me personally. For most people who are untrained and unfamiliar with weapons an AK is...

I give the AK credit, it is the most widely use small arm in human history. But there's a reason for that. It's incredibly simple. It really is so easy a caveman could do it. Small children are trained to use it. This isn't a bad thing because it means with an AK and train and arm any swinging dick ...
