re: Mom slashes kids' throats to make them stop crying
Posted by KG6 on 1/29 at 2:06 pm
Man I've been pushed to my wits' end with my son crying the first few months. I've felt sooooo bad for being pissed and cursing that he wouldn't sleep and feeling myself tense up and everything. But NEVER, I mean NEVER could I imagine actually hurting him. This make me sick to my stomach. ...

re: what shows have you given up on?
Posted by KG6 on 1/29 at 11:38 am
My wife's been obsessed with scandal on netflix. I never thought it was a great show, but my god that show went off the deep end quickly. Everyone in Washington has apparently murdered at least one person and there's always a super secret organization that somehow a PR lady can gain info on. It's te...
Hoping for Kirby smith
My lord.... How times have changed. I moved out of that crap-hole half way through my freshman year, because I couldn't stand living there anymore. And I had a top floor suite. Paid a fine an everything to get out. But I've heard they renovated and it ma...

re: So, BP beginning 23% lay off of the Houston workforce today
Posted by KG6 on 1/29 at 5:56 am
I've heard through the grapevine that BP was asking for voluntary resignations and providing one months salary for every year you were there. I know other companies are making cuts as well. I had the awkward experience of calling a contractor who had been working with us on a project only to be i f...

I'm buying a house where I want to live and a house in the Florida keys. Also buying a few boats. Giving a chunk of change to everyone in our immediate families. Then the rest gets saved or invested very cautiously. A 1% annual return on that is $1.8 MM. I could live off that yearly salary. My chi...

re: What's your earliest memory in life?
Posted by KG6 on 1/28 at 1:17 pm
I don't know what to tell you man. You've got your mind made up. But i remember. I can remember being potty trained at daycare. I can remember the "older kids" leaving daycare to go to kindergarten. I honestly have a memory of crapping my pants when I was potty training and the lady with curly hair...

I'm only 28, but I told my mom I remembered riding in a wheel chair with her in the hospital. She was stunned I recalled that. She had to let me know that it was from when my sister was born. I didn't know that, but that's the last time my mom was in a wheelchair in the hospital. So the memory is t...

I remember riding in on my mom's lap when she was in the wheel chair going to her room for my sister's birth. I'm 2 1/2 years older than my sister. I also remember wanting to get in the "tent" they had around my sister in the hospital when she had pneumonia as an infant. I definitely have very short...

Your experiences sound so interesting that it almost appears made up . Not calling you a liar, just that's an amazing experience that I couldn't imagine getting to partake in myself. Has to be a surreal feeling to be a part of all of that. I go to work everyday waiting for 5 o'clock. You h...

Usually the same exact material, but practice problems at the end of the sections as well as example problems are usually different. I always got the international edition. I also had terrible homework grades ...

I wasn't alive, but I was in high school for the Challenger. I remember seeing that there supposed to be a sonic boom as it would pass over where I lived. I had a baseball game that day and commented that I never heard the boom. Went home and saw on the news that it never made it past Texas. Cou...

re: If you are reasonably healthy, how fast should you be able to run a mile?
Posted by KG6 on 1/27 at 2:18 pm
8 minute mile isn't that difficult. 16 minutes for 2 miles is getting a little more difficult. 24 for 3 miles and you're in decent shape. Not speaking for athletes, just your average going for a jog to stay healthy pace. Anything over 3 miles and my pace is about 10 minutes a mile. I don't find...

re: For those who have had opposite sex roommates, did you ever have sex?

I roomed with my girlfriend's (now wife)friends for a little while. Needed a place for my last semester and they had a room. Obviously no sexing in that situation (and wouldn't have wanted to). Its awkward when they aren't home and you need to wash clothes, but the machine is full of underwear. Luc...

Had Uverse. I think I paid $170 for the U450 (or whatever it was called) package. When I moved, I bought a Roku. I pay $55 for 105 mbps internet, and have Netflix, Hulu Plus, and already had Amazon Prime (Total is under $100 a month, plus I get free shipping with Amazon). Other than missing spor...
