re: LSU commit Dylan Moses, Class of 2017, will attend Alabama's Spring Game
Posted by lsufanva on 4/18 at 9:21 pm
Funny, maybe sad is better, is that FSU doesn't claim him as a commitment either. The kid has issues that I just don't think can be helped. Moses visits everybody so no big deal. Guice being with him and so close to him only strengthens his Tiger commitment. Guice is a Tiger too, at least will be...

re: Under the Radar Louisiana Recruits

Narcisse is under the radar to the novices but the services and most importantly the LSU staff know all about him. Expect him to be offered before the year is out as an athlete most likely. Kid is a stud. Antoine is good. Gonna be interesting to see if we offer. I'd expect so but db spots are far...

Definitely some headscratchers in there. No White makes the whole list irrelevent to me. The excuse makes it even dumber. As for Veal, don't care what he says, he doesn't have an offer from us. Secondly, he struggled throwing the ball at one of the Nike camps and really that's all they have to go...

Posted by lsufanva on 4/13 at 8:28 am
We remember that about Faulk and Hurst but recruits don't and tha t is what we're talking about here. Bama uses their OL draftees, and our lack of, directly against us. CR constantly cited their high draft picks as a major reason he was so high on them. Faulk and Hurst were projected high but didn't...

Turner for sure. OL is the only spot where it is directly being used against us. Wrs grow on trees and we will never have issues getting them. Qbs don't matter in terms of the draft. Rb has never been an issue. Our DT and DB reputation is so good already that it doesn't matter what happens. Next ...

Moton if he shows well this spring/summer is the only realistic instate DT at this point. His offer isn't legit at the moment. Milton will get his shot along with a couple of others. Looks like we will look OOS 1st. May only take 1, 2 at most with the loaded instate group in 16 on the horizon and we...

He will be a Tiger and a monster. Our rb rotation in the future is gonna be scary. More studs than those past/current Bama groups, though if they land Robinson and Johnson or one of the other 20 rbs they've offered this year, they'll have a major league group in 15...

re: Lsu no longer in the mix for Kirk Merritt?
Posted by lsufanva on 3/25 at 11:46 am
He's doing like many kids do now, leaving LSU off purposely because they are tired of being called LSU locks and asked the question a million times. We haven't backed off at this point. The people that ask the kids those questions know exactly what they're doing and it works. ...

The reported Houston offer isn't legit. Kid doesn't even mention it when asked whi has offered and he doesn't have but a few. Take Guice and Merritt and wrap it up. Little Fournette gets in somewhere but I see slot in him. Our staff does love the little back from AL. Samuel I think is his last n...

Johnson is clearly #4 with last years 3 included. Matter of fact he's not even the best wr in the state that will play in hs next year. That honor goes to Mykel Jones. He might even be below Sullivan. Quinn-better hands, speed and route running. Also is an inch shorter but about 15-20 pounds hea...

Ways around the costs of those trips. I'm not a fan of Gibson as a qb. I'd take him as an athlete all day but I'd just don't see what people are going crazy about as a qb. re: Cody Ford - Big Time OL....right here!

He is a good OL prospect and one I'd like to see offered but he will have to camp and battle the masses looking for that 1-2 offers we make to inside players. We need OL but mainly OTs and the state is severely lacking them. The JC kid in 16 may be the most important recruit on the board right now a...

Geauxaggie pegged it. No one is saying the kid definitely won't get an offer just that the odds are very much against him. Chigbu is meaningless to LSU fans because he has no offer and likely doesn't get one. Merritt is gonna be tough to pull from us. Both are good prospects but Merritt is the prize. Chigbu just is in the wrong year but really it doesn't matter because he would slot low in the 14, 15 or 16 classes. Just...

Lebron is a bad comparison. Lebron was being hyped as the greatest hs prospect ever and as the top pick in the draft as a hs sophomore. Moses will be lucky if he's the #1 player in his class. Long, long way to go and plenty of time for other 17 kids to grow and improve. Early offers are fine as ...
