I believe in maintenance contract especially with a reputable company. I find I get immediate service if/when something does go wrong. And the twice year review is a good maintenance practice. Not sure if I would do it myself if I didn't have these guys do it....

I've used Harkins out of Denham Springs for about 6 years. I keep an annual maintenance contract with them. Very responsive, professional. Old man (sounds like he's been around) Adolph runs a tight ship....

I recommend opening a SEP-IRA with Vanguard. Easy, cost effective, investment advice available if/when you need it. Wife and I set ours up over 5 years ago. Maximum contribution for 2014 is $52,000 (or 25% of your salary whichever is lower)....
