re: Charter Internet Coax Cable?
Posted by TU Rob on 3/26 at 12:37 pm
Just regular coax. When the guy came to install mine he wanted to run his own but I told him I had already installed mine where I wanted the modem. He hooked it up and it was fine. Just some 100 foot coax I bought at lowes. ...

re: BYOD Workplace
Posted by TU Rob on 3/26 at 8:48 am
We are going away from issuing blackberries to a BYOD plan using MobileIron for email access. I think a few of the guys here were issued iPhones(mainly the ones that are in sales and need a company cell phone), but the majority of the folks that have a smartphone can get access through MobileIron i...

re: What is your go-to BBQ rub?
Posted by TU Rob on 3/26 at 8:42 am
The most perfect rub I ever had was called "Rub a Butt". My mom had bought it in Huntsville, and it was the best rub I've ever used. However, I've never been able to find it since. Any Bama peeps know where I could find some?
In pretty much every grocery store around here. I'm ...

re: Staining Concrete Questions
Posted by TU Rob on 3/24 at 8:52 am
My dad painted his huge concrete patio and his entire driveway with some concrete paint several years ago. He tried to get fancy and make it look like stones on the patio. It looked like crap at first, but after a few years of it aging it actually looked okay. He had like 6 different colors, and ...

re: Runners of the OT: Precentages?
Posted by TU Rob on 3/24 at 8:44 am
I'm not a distance runner compared to most that run, but I usually stay in the 3-4 mile range running 2-3 times a week. I was training for a 10k a few years ago, and followed the advice to make one run each week a longer run. It helped on that one to really change up the route. I run in downtown ...

I tried seeding under the big oak I have out front last year. It took in most places and I seeded it a second time. It was looking really good until we got a ton of rain in the fall and a bunch of the soil washed away. I'm going to sod this year and cut some of the lower limbs off. ...

re: $1,000 or your team winning the national championship?
Posted by TU Rob on 3/19 at 10:56 am
I think this should be worded a little differently as far as the amount. For most of the population (especially sidewalk fans) $1,000 is a lot of money. But for a professional, that is nice, and can be used for fun money, but it isn't anything in the grand scheme of things. Maybe it should say a ...

re: Anyone on here ever vacation to Africa?

If you count hunting as vacation, I know a guy that has been several times. He said certain parts of it are just amazing. Land that is basically untouched by man. Huge variety of animals. He's a big outdoorsman though, so probably not the vacation you're looking for....

So my wife (and daughter) wanted to watch this last night to see Noah Galloway. Turned it on, and the "dancing" and the outfits were a little risque for a 7 year old girl to be watching. We kept flipping back and forth between The Voice and Dancing, and of course I would have switched it back to D...
