re: I picked the wrong day to grab lunch at chick fil a
Posted by TU Rob on 7/11 at 2:42 pm
The one here near my job had these free cow hats, kind of like the old Burger King Crowns, that they were giving away wednesday and yesterday. Said if you come back in wearing it you get something free. No way in hell you'd catch me in there today. Way overcrowded. I don't know why people will s...

Yeah that was my smoking thread. I hadn't thought about the multi-levels but it would be nice for ribs if you're cooking for a crowd. Usually there are just 4 adults eating when I do ribs so a rack or two is plenty. And the 22.5 inch is just about perfect for me. I had an old 8 inch in colle...

I have a set of the J Lab ones. Bought them for running since I hated the wires. And I cut grass in them as well. The'll hold a decent charge for a few days if you're not using them constantly. I could charge it at my desk on the USB on Monday morning, go for a few 45 minute runs during the week...

re: How to clean a comforter that's too big for washing machine?
Posted by TU Rob on 7/10 at 8:27 am
We used to have this suede comforter on an old bed, and it couldn't be washed. We went from a queen to a king and were getting rid of all the old bedding, and we took it to the dry cleaners then sold it with the bed. It wasn't that much to get it cleaned. I had like a 25% off coupon from the clea...

[quote]But really, LOST lent itself to being binge watched because it had an addicting aspect of it unlike any TV show. I've never seen a show where it's viewers were so adamant about wanting to know what happens next. You had to watch the next episode to hopefully figure out your questions (which r...

Posted by TU Rob on 7/9 at 3:56 pm
I wish this stuff had been around about 8-10 years ago. I had a Grand Cherokee and the headlights were awful. I lived down a winding dark road, and it was a pain to try and see at night. I ended up ordering a set of replacements for it from some website. Cost around $300 to get them. But the di...

Posted by TU Rob on 7/9 at 1:48 pm
Thanks for the link and the tips. I've smoked a ton of stuff before, but it was on an old offset smoker/grill I had. It was one of those Char-Griller Duos with the gas/side burner on the left and the coal/smoker on the right. The gas side ended up rusting through and I got rid of it last year. I...

Smoking on a Weber
Posted by TU Rob on 7/9 at 11:30 am
So the Ribs I did on the 4th were a big hit. I used the snake method and big chunks of soaked hickory. I knew it wasn't going to be in there longer than 2.5 to 3 hours, so I didn't stack it really deep like I saw on the YouTube I watched. But now I'm thinking of what all else I can do besides...

I usually start off the day with a red solo cup full of cooler ice, half filled with Makers Mark, and maybe splash a little coke in the top. This has to be the first drink in the morning when the temp is still only in the high 70s or low 80s. Gets that buzz going and I then drink cheap beer the re...

I grew up in South Alabama, and have eaten Conecuh for most of my life. Yes, it is really, really greasy. But if you slightly burn it on a charcoal grill, then slice it up into bite size pieces and stick a few toothpicks in some, the whole thing just disappears in about 5 minutes at every cookout ...
