re: What's the biggest bet...you didn't win?

I had 12 to 1 odds before the season started that LSU would win the 2011/12 national title. The BCSCG not only sucked as a fan, it hurt as a gambler. ...

Pretty much anything by the Native Tongues collective, but particularly The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest. If I have to limit it to one song... Check the Rhime. And of course, Paul's Boutique by the Beasties, but that came out in 1989. ...

Hell, I saw Alan Jackson and that was a fantastic show. I think they are on about the same level and era. I bet Garth could still put on a fun show. Sure, it's nostalgia, but he's not so old that it's not worth seeing him once....

It's a nostalgia tour that will make millions upon millions of dollars. Hell, I'll probably go as long as it isn't too expensive. The album won't do the same numbers as his 90s stuff for obvious reasons, but I'm pretty sure it will do real well. ...

That's a long deal for two players, one of whom is a wing who has only scored 30 goals once. I think the Kane deal is a massive overpay: he's a wing who doesn't score at a crazy rate. Toews is more valuable because of his position and the fact he's a stellar defensive player. Now, the two biggest ca...

FLAG, however, is surprisingly good, as it has all of the members anyone would care about minus Ginn. Morris, Dukowski (who is still amazing), Cadena, and Stevenson. While highly unscientific, the imdb top 250 gives us a pretty good glimpse at the general respect for each decade, understanding that it skews modern.
