You're attempting to tie religious philosophy to conservative political philosophy and both are stand alone philosophies. The mistake is insisting the religious defines the political and vice versa....

As an engineer I use both metric and U.S. customary units to measure with equal ease. I never viewed either system as being pro liberal or pro conservative. Had to come here to discover this previously unknown fact. :lol:...

No reason why we can't convert to metric. It would require a lengthy conversion time where both systems are utilized and a ton of money but it can be done. I don't see a compelling reason to do so though....
