re: Tactical Rifle Comparison/Value Question
Posted by ArkBengal on 11/28 at 5:43 pm
I have the M400 and it is a solid gun, but I think you can do a little better on the cost. But in your case with sporadic use hard to go wrong with any of those. Check the Wyndham Weaponry models also-they are usually very god guns at a decent price in that range...

He does have some growing up to do, but he was up against a likely first round left tackle pick tonight so that may not be a fair comparison...

re: AR-15 Aftermarket Triggers.....which are good???

I have the SSA and have a S3G arriving today. I doubt there is much difference in the SSA and G2S other than appearance and maybe some QC specs, but from what I understand they are virtually identical in performance. The S3G or SD3g however, well that's another animal altogether. That thing is swee...

re: Ken Hatfield - Coaching philosophy
Posted by ArkBengal on 11/17 at 6:01 pm
He wasn't run off from Arkansas due to losing too much, they just got tired of the option offense basically. I don't think he changed his basic offensive philosophy, but he did have a Plan B for when it didn't work. Also, we sometimes over complicate things too much. Hatfield said it was a simple ...

re: Ken Hatfield - Coaching philosophy

So you think we should have continued to use the same philosophy that gained us about 100 yards in 3 1/2 quarters in the Arkansas game ? No changes in scheme or personnel ? Sure, that worked ...

Ok, for those a little slow on the pickup. A good coach will make changes if what they are doing is not working. That simple enough ?...

Ken Hatfield - Coaching philosophy
Posted by ArkBengal on 11/17 at 5:09 pm
Two years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Ken Hatfield at the Paul Eells golf tournament in Little Rock. I made it a point to speak to him about a game he coached at Rice. At the time, Arkansas had fired him because his triple option offense was not sexy enough, even though he averaged around ten ...

re: Is there any reason I shouldn't buy a Tundra?
Posted by ArkBengal on 10/23 at 4:38 pm
Well, when my leadfooted wife drives it it gets around 17 overall, still not too bad. What I have found is they are very acceleration and speed sensitive regarding mileage. You can see a big difference between 60-65 and 75+ in gas consumption. Pushing a lot of air at the higher speeds....

Recent story. Took my 2012 Tundra on a haul this week. Drove 250 miles round trip, 100 of which was with an 1,850 lb injection mold in the bed. Squatted good, but made it fine. Drove 70 on freeways except for that 100 miles at 60 with the load and 60 on two lane roads (about 70 miles total) and stil...
