re: Lets talk Cornerbacks
Posted by blueslover on 2/23 at 12:05 am
Agree that a vet seems to fit. I suspect the Patriots model of getting Revis & Browner to a title will be sought after by many teams. I'd love a quality value acquisition but won't be surprised if it is bigger than expected (like Byrd) last year. The Packers Davon House & Tramon Williams are both...

re: bigger need OL or DL?

posted the remarks above, then come across this... The other big story brewing during the opening days of the Combine centers around free agent cornerbacks. The belief is available corners will be overpaid in free agency as the demand at the position will far outstrip the supply. Sources tell me ...

good discussion thread O vs D line gotta be O. The Saints emulate many good things from the Patriots. One they don't is trading up versus trading down and accumulating draft picks. I believe we are seeing the net result of these wasted draft picks. I'm still pissed about no Center d...

yo brosefs, yup, settling in south of the equator. I had NFL Sunday Ticket and saw the games. I felt so kicked in the balls by the Dallas game I thought it must be the right season to relocate. We're still in a bit of transition and will be dealing with construction. Hopefully back more by draft...

did I ever pick the right year to move out of the country or what? Defense- the 2014 version is a lot closer to the 2012 debacle than the 2013 bounceback year. Wondering if it was a lot of scheming that made the D so much better. When it is scheme, in the second year teams have the tape all fi...

Those facts that show the narrow margin of parity in the NFL. Sad to say this year's team reminds of Dallas recently. I counted this as perhaps the best Saints team ever "on paper". There is enough talent. Payton is still a good coach. This year it seems they are going for it ala killer instinc...

Saints Dead Last in Punt Returns

good point from Triplett... Concerning to me is that the team ranked 30th & 26th the last two years as well. Many of us have questioned why there has been no coaching change for special teams the past few years. Here's an eye opener... Sproles (with a history as a dynamic return guy) average...

didn't read the thread but after watching games across NFL Sunday Ticket yesterday I concluded that there is a lot more hope to this season than I thought. Nobody looks THAT strong or good. If the panthers lose at Green Bay and the Saints win, we're tied for 1st. Guess I might have to pull out ...

good discussion, looking at the PFF 2013 numbers his monster ATL game sticks out at +6.8 Those numbers certainly boosted his overall score. I agree that he doesn't measure up to last year by the eyeball test. My question is, maybe we had an over inflated view of what he actually did last year? ...
