Of the 30 mangrove caught, 10 were betwenn 7.5 & 9.5 lbs. Had another 10/12 that would have been large also, lost to rig. The first two/three seconds was crucial....

Hat, We fished this weekend out of Venice, first time for me and two sons. Fished in East Bay, never left state water, 37 to 44 feet. Kept 30 mangrove, 6 red snapper, 6 redfish (1 bull). Fish not kept, one black tip(still swimming with gaff), one bull shark, and two gag grouper( each about 15 in). ...

Homestead exemption will/could become an issue. If WF is escrowing for taxes/insurance and then get a large tax bill, they might inquire as to why....

While watching weight-in Saturday, saw three redfish DQ'ed for being 27, odd. The 68 lb wahoo was one bad arse looking fish....

Ended first day leading YFT (1st & 2nd), Mangrove and second in Cobia & Wahoo. Saturday could not find many trout, ended with 5-fish about 14lbs, did a little better with reds 3-fish, 18.2 lbs. Ended up with $50 & $100 gift catds, a K-2 cooler and wife won a 16 ft canoe in raffle drawing....

Can enter at $50 or $100 level. Offshore - total weight of 1 YFT,1 wahoo, 1 dolphin Mangrove - 5 fish total weight Trout - 5 fish total weight Red - 3 fish, slot sized, total weight....

Hell, a couple of nights ago I watched the Pensacola Blue Wahoos vs Jacksonville Sun. Austin Nola is SS for the Sun. They were playing at Pensacola and looked like they may have had about 3 or 4 thousand in attendance....

He is going for Master Angler-Rig Div., in the same rodeo next Fri/Sat that several OB peeps are in. You get points for the first six places in KM, Mangrove, Red Snapper and Cobia for the rig division. Inshore & Offshore each have four species. Last years CHS Alumni, friend of my wife was fishing rocks inside Caminada Pass just messing around and caught a STAR tagged redfish. Did not place in rodeo, but won star boat....

The commission voted to postpone any request for re-assessment of trout and/or redfish for a couple of months. They will then decide if they want biologists to determine if changes are warranted/needed....

I think the lower speck limit will be just for southwest like it is now, maybe down to 10 because from what LA WLF is saying alot of TX guides are going to Big Lake and putting alot of pressure on the trout. For redfish, they are thinking of lowering the size limit to 14 or so inches because at that...

With my ducks, the drake(Pekin) just has a very soft babble, but the hens(Pekin) are loud for breakfast & dinner. I usually get 1 or 2 double yolk eggs a month and they are huge, had to hurt laying it....
