re: Do you ever "mourn" a character's death? (warning: spoilers obviously)
Posted by boxcarbarney on 9/16 at 2:07 pm
Chewbacca from the Star Wars EU. Not that they way he died was all that great. In fact I was kind of disappointed that his death wasn't more of a "Blaze of Glory" death. But he was a character I have known since my youth, and I was bothered more than I thought I would be when he died. Of course D...
Do you mean the ones that adjust to the moon phase?
Yes and no. I've seen the nice LED set ups that replicate sundown, moon phases, thunderstorms, and sunrise. But I was just talking about moonlights in general. My freshwater is fully planted. So I'm not sure how the plants (wi...
what are the built in bulkhead for?
CP3 can answer this better than me, but the bulkheads are used to plumb you filter lines directly to the tank. This is opposed to using a hang on back filter (bad idea for salt tanks) or a syphon based filter....
i have been very close to the edge of buying a 55gal+ tank many times.
PetCo normally has the $1 per gallon sale once a year. But that's just the tank. The real money is spent on filters, pumps, lights... depending on what kind of tank you want. ...

I have a 55 gallon freshwater planted tank. I have a mixture of fish in there, but I have Endler's Livebearers which breed like crazy. In my 10 gallon planted, I keep dwarf livebearers and cherry shrimp. Both are breeding, which is good. I plan to put a smallish pond in my backyard this spring...

If you have no experience with fish tanks, I would suggest you start with a medium size fresh water first. Maybe move up to a full planted freshwater and gain some experience. Salties are expensive and you don't wanna accidentally murder a fish that cost you $100+...

Shouldn't you be elsewhere? Don't you have a memorial service to picket? Or are you busy slowing down footage of 9/11, trying to prove that the plane was really a hologram?...
