Are you thinking of going to Balthazar for brunch? If so, consider Lafayette as an alternative. It's Andrew Carmelini's french brasserie, they do a great brunch, it's also more accessible than Balthazar. I have one, have had it for a couple of years. The cooktop is fantastic, it's basically a commercial cooktop and is bulletproof. Mine has six unsealed burners, two of which are 22k BTU, which I think is the highest output on the market. It's easy to clean, and the star shaped burners deliver nice...
